#1 Worst Blogger....Season for Everything!

NOTE: I am currently on maternity leave until October. My fall sessions will only consist of mini-sessions for everything except newborns. Newborn sessions will be offered only at my in home studio and not on location. Book now because space is limited!

I am the worst blogger ever since I got back from MN. I have the hardest time keeping up with updates here and there. I just finished updateing my website with pictures taken in the past 4 months, kirsiingramphotog.com. I feel blessed to have worked with so many clients, every session was special in its own way. I learned a lot about NEWBORN photography and can't wait to get back at it once I have my own new little one! I have been lucky to work along side Creative Cat Crochet, using her props and crocheted hats for many sessions. I love her creations and really am antsy to use them on my own baby.

Right now my focus is on Taryn(and Brent!) my sweet daughter before the baby comes. We are going to the water park, she has swim lessons, and a class at the rec. I made a list of all the summer things, and it looks like the 2 of us will be very busy. We will visit our family lake house often! Reminds me of my summers as a kid....I lived in my bathing suit. Literally! I am looking forward to this time together.

I do miss photography and feel like opportunities are passing me by, but keep reminding myself that God has a season for everything.

March Madness

I just finished updating my site with my March clients images! What a whirl wind of a month, it was so much fun...3 newborns, 2 one year olds, a 4 year old and 2 Seniors. I loved every minute!!!! Hopefully, April brings diversity as well, I am looking forward to taking pictures of my cousin for her engagement. Keep checking in and I promise I will try to write more on the blog. I am thankful! Also, for those that do not know, i am expecting in August, not finding out so it will be a surprise to us all!!! As for sessions, I will not be booking from July-September. Have a great day, Kirsi

I am so thankful for the clients God provided this past year. It is such a blessing to be a little part of each of their lives. I am looking forward to capturing more memories in 2011. For Real, I am Still Here....

So to all of those whom still check, I am still here! I stopped posting because I have run out of megabites to post anymore pictures on my blog...sigh! I am working on a website that I have promised myself to be up by the end of February. The link will be www.kirsiingramphotog.com. Its not ready yet but am going to start working on getting it there. I do have many unshared pictures from Christmas sessions and newborn sessions. My cousin who is the same age as me passed away last week. I am always posting things about life, fun and happiness, but today's post is just a reminder of how we don't know when our last day will come. We must cherish the moments. Johnny and I grew up together at our family lake house. He was wild and crazy and ALWAYS made me laugh. He made me extra mad sometimes too because he was not the rule follower like me, but you know what he sure lived. He will be missed. I love you Johnny!

Most of you know I am a vegetarian and raising my daughter as one too. This book motivates me to continue the path that I have felt for our family. It is more than that though because it is an awesome reminder that we are responsible for our Earth in many ways and it starts with what we eat. The book encourages us to also not eat dairy and to become vegans, a plant based diet is optimal for our health. The book literally makes you feel ok about easing into change and to watch and listen to your body as those changes happen. Read it! I love the journey I have been on since becoming vegetarian and that it continues to progress and open my heart to many more things that are helping the Earth.

I just want to say upfront that I am sorry ahead of time for some of the pictures I will be posting and have already posted. As they are not the best quality or "art." Shooting and editing 1,600 pictures from the wedding in Portland is exciting and consuming. I will still post the pictures I take BUT please don't give up on me. I just need a little grace this month while I edit the wedding photos. I can't wait to share those and some awesome 1 year old birthday boy pics I took, they are on lock down until the invitations go out. Update: Back from Portland!

I am back! I had an incredible time. I was actually up in Hood River about an hour from Portland. It was gorgeous. I stayed in an old but remodeled farm house with the brides family, went running and hiking. I never went to bed before 11 and that is a big deal from me, I am still tired. The wedding was amazing. I can't wait to share pictures. I am finishing up editing a clients session from before I left, so I will be posting pics from my trip and the wedding at a later date. Of course as soon as possible. I will be adding pictures from Sunday and on to stay updated. So stay tuned while you wait for the Portland photos! Missed ya. Thanks to all for the warm wishes on my blog and facebook, it means a lot.
